The President's Message

*SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS? ARE YOU KIDDING?

It is hard to believe it’s October. (now November) Even worse there is snow already.

Now, when looking for a car event to go to, you actually have to look for one.  No more of the multiple choice events on each weekend day.  When you find an event to go to, the mornings and late afternoons are cooler, so we probably won’t go as early or stay as late.  But, it is a good time to continue to show off our Mets.  Fall days can be some of the most comfortable cruising times of the year.  The vivid colors throughout the landscape are wonderful.  A Met driving through that scenery is always an eye catcher just like they were on our Met Magical Mystery tour earlier in the year.

Metros Participate in Holiday Parade!

The 27th annual My Macy’s holiday Parade was held on November 24th this year in Seattle, and this was our 23rd year as participants!   PNMOC’s  ten car team was a crowd favorite, judging by the waves, smiles, cheers and comments of “Cute!" and "Love that car!"” we received from the viewers along the route.   We lucked out on the weather; rainless and warm enough to bring out thousands of happy people who lined the streets to watch the parade.  Our formation of festively decorated Metros motored along the one mile parade route that meandered through the downtown retail core.  After shedding our holiday decorations at route’s end we caravanned and rendezvoused at a local Denny’s restaurant where we all enjoyed a well deserved and tasty brunch.   Well done, entrants – can’t  wait for next year!

Thank you to everyone who shared their pictures, including my sister Bev.
