The President's Message

*INDEPENDENCE!

Since our last report, we will have driven our Met to and from the Met International event in Castle Rock, CO, June 20-23..  The adventure will surely be rewarding and the memories from  the event consisting of Mets, and their families  from all over the US and Canada will be everlasting.  What a joy to live in the USA.

By the time you read this article, USA Independence Day, the 4th of July, has just happened.  It’s a very special day here in the USA, since it represents the beginning of a new life for many generations past, present and future.  There are so many things that we enjoy in the USA that we  take for granted, and assume that other parts of the world experience the same thing.  Certainly, some countries do have some of the freedoms and liberties that we enjoy, but very few have the independence to go where you wish, pray as you wish, seek the lifestyle that you wish, and raise your family as you wish.

Metros Participate in Holiday Parade!

The 27th annual My Macy’s holiday Parade was held on November 24th this year in Seattle, and this was our 23rd year as participants!   PNMOC’s  ten car team was a crowd favorite, judging by the waves, smiles, cheers and comments of “Cute!" and "Love that car!"” we received from the viewers along the route.   We lucked out on the weather; rainless and warm enough to bring out thousands of happy people who lined the streets to watch the parade.  Our formation of festively decorated Metros motored along the one mile parade route that meandered through the downtown retail core.  After shedding our holiday decorations at route’s end we caravanned and rendezvoused at a local Denny’s restaurant where we all enjoyed a well deserved and tasty brunch.   Well done, entrants – can’t  wait for next year!

Thank you to everyone who shared their pictures, including my sister Bev.
