This is my barn find. Al and Sue Ward helped me and Lilia dragged this beauty home. This is going to be my daily driver. It supercharged and it fun to drive.

2011 Christmas Party
December 10th, 2012 by Jan Watson in category: Met Galleries
The annual Christmas Party was chaired by Ingred and Wayne and was another huge sucess. There were three couples sorely missed at this party, Bob and Bea Collier, Leonard and Shirley Robison, Vane Walter and Marjorie Feller. We wish them all a Merry Christmas and hope to see them soon in 2012. Entertainment was Phil Bergh and his daughter singing us a few Christmas carols and a few members enjoyed some additional entertainment in the bar.
Victoria's Restoration
December 3rd, 2012 by Kathy Bergh in category: Met Galleries
We bought our restoration rescue car July 18, 2004. Advertised as "80% complete", that just meant that someone else did the easy paart and we were stuck trying to figure out what went where, fix it, and stick it back on. We are making progress thanks to Dale Carrington and many other PNMOC members.
New arrival in the family

Glenn and Cam Giese
November 1st, 2012 by Glenn Giese in category: Met Galleries
A new arrival in our household. This 1957 Met convertible (now re-named "Miss Cam") arrived from Lake Ozark, Missouri. It was formerly owned by a gentleman named Joe Page who had this vehicle since 1992. He restored it in the late 1990's and used it as a point of purchase prop in one of his seven "Summer USA" stores. He has decided to downsize his worklife, so he sold 5 of his stores and along with it offered this little Met for sale. I purchased it from him, and originally intended on surprising my wife (Cam) with it on Christmas morning. I didn't quite have all my bases covered on hiding everything. While I was at work, one of the three insurance companies that I contacted for quotes called the house, spilled the beans, and I had some explaining to do when I got home that evening. Cam is "Very Happy" with her early present, and we both look forward to having fun with this amazing little car next year when we have good weather again.

B.C. Mets Riviera Cruise
July 29th, 2012 by Dale Carrington in category: Met Galleries
The B.C. Mets hosted a Met Cruise from Nanaimo to Campbell River and back. This event was all about driving and showing off our Mets and a little bit about GREAT BBQs at the McClymont's and Klint's! Don Klint built a valve cover race track and the competition was FIERCE!! (I didn't have a chance ;^{(} All along our route we met with folks who hadn't seen a Met in years or just thought they were cute, and of course - there were LOTS of smiles all along the way.
Omak Car Show and Swap Meet

The Friendly OK Car Club show May 12th
While it may be a bit of a drive to get up to Omak – it is definitely a beautiful one. We went over three mountain passes, saw spots of snow at times, and had the windows down enjoying the warm sunshine as we meandered along the Columbia River.
Fix A Met May 5th '12

The May 5th Fix A Met
What a beautiful day to get the Mets out and take care of some needed maintenance! 10 Mets came out for a little help and parts of a couple more were brought in for work. 18 folks were there to inspect, repair, or assist in any way possible. Mike Jernigan performed an inspection on each Met as it arrived to make sure the basics worked – lights, brakes, electric, and went over things with the owner that they were having troubles with or needed improvements on. This inspection drove the focus of our Fix A Met so we can help ensure we’re driving safer and more trouble free.
