The Metropolitan Owners Club of North America

The Metropolitan Owners Club of North America was formed in February 1975, its purpose; to promote interest in the preservation of and restoration of the Metropolitan Automobile. In order to be a member in good standing with the PNMOC, you must join MOCNA.

When you join the PNMOC chapter you will receive a newsletter every month, the "Metro Media." It is full of Met history, club activities, dates, fun stuff, pictures, and tech tips.

MOCNA members will receive a newsletter every month with their membership. This newsletter - "The Met Gazette" - has technical tips, personal and business ads, and stories from members about their Met experiences. You will really enjoy both clubs and BOTH publications. They both are very original and are great reading.

How many Mets are left? MOCNA is compiling a listing of Metropolitans on the road, parts cars, or destroyed. The listing of Mets identified is available on the MOCNA Library web site:

Pacific Northwest Chapter History

The local Pacific Northwest Chapter was formed in February 1979 by Gene Mitchell and Charlotte Valbert of Tacoma, WA. It has grown to become one of the most active car clubs in the Northwest with well over a hundred active memberships. You have probably seen us lined up and cruising down the road on our way to a British Columbia weekend or Ocean Shores gathering, or maybe we were on our way to one of the many local parades we participate in each year.

Our local chapter holds membership meetings in the Puget Sound area each month. We also publish a newsletter which contains restoration tips, reports on chapter activities, a classified ad section and other features. This newsletter is sent via email for rapid, full color delivery and by first class mail each month to local chapter members who request postal delivery. Information and advice are always nearby!

Keeping a Met running and in good, dependable condition can be a problem. Availability of parts is limited, but they are still obtainable if you know where to look. We can help!
